Installing "Custom Icon" Format Icons on the Macintosh

- Select the icon you wish to use.
- Once you have made your selection, choose "Get Info" from the "File" Menu or press the keystroke Command-i.
- Then press the "tab" key. A square box should appear selecting the icon on the top left hand corner of the get info window.
- Select "Copy" from the "Edit" menu, or press Command-C.
- Close the get info window, or press Command-W.
- Select the icon (file, folder, hard disk, or floppy disk) you wish to replace with the icon you have just copied. You cannot paste icons into a document which is currently opened with another program.
- Choose "Get Info" from the "File" Menu or press the keystroke Command-i.
- Then press the "tab" key. A square box should appear selecting the icon on the top left hand corner of the get info window.
- Select "Paste" from the "Edit" menu, or press Command-V.
- Close the get info window, or press Command-W.

Installing IconDropper Pack Icons on the Macintosh

Place the IconDropper pack file inside the "packs" folder with the IconDropper application. The next time you drop an icon, the program will make the new packs available. See the documentation supplied with the IconDropper application for more information.

Installing Kineticon Kines Icons on the Macintosh

Place the Kineticon Kines inside the "Kines" folder . See the documentation supplied with the Kineticon application for more information. Please be aware we are not the authors of the Kineticon application and any problems, questions or comments as they relate to Kineticon should be directed to its author.

Installing Desktop Pictures/Patterns on the Mac (System 8.5 or above)

- Unstuff the Desktop Picture/Pattern archive.
- From the Contol Panel folder under the Apple menu open the Appearance control panel.
- Select the "Desktop" tab.
- Drag the Desktop Picture JPEG or Pattern "Clipping File" image from Finder onto the screen thumbnail in the control panel's window.
- Click on the "Set Desktop" button to apply the displayed picture or pattern onto the desktop.

Installing Desktop Pictures on the Mac (System 8.0 or 8.1)

- Unstuff the Desktop Picture archive.
- From the Contol Panel folder under the Apple menu open the Desktop Pictures control panel.
- Select the "Picture" button.
- Drag the JPEG image from Finder onto the Desktop Pictures' control panel's window.
- Click on the "Set Desktop" button to apply the displayed picture onto the desktop.

Installing Desktop Patterns on the Mac (System 8.1 or below)

- Unstuff the Desktop Patterns archive.
- From the Apple menu open the Desktop Patterns (System 7.5) or Desktop Pictures (System 8.0 or above) control panel.
- (System 8.0) Select the "Patterns" button.
- Drag the clipping files one at a time into the Desktop Pattern control panel's window.
- Click on the "Set Desktop" button to apply the displayed pattern onto the desktop.

Installing Fonts on the Mac

- Open the True Type or Type 1 folder.
- Drag all the files in that folder onto the closed System Folder icon on your hard disk.
- If you are running under System 7.1 or above, a message will appear telling you that the files will be placed in the Fonts folder.
- Click OK.
